Located along Front Street in Historic downtown Rising Sun, Rising Sun Riverfront Park offers the best view of the Ohio River in the area. Be sure to bring a camera and document the beauty and activity along the waterfront each day.
The park includes a river walkway pavilion, picnic tables, shelter, playground equipment, restrooms, and both grassy and concrete terraced walls and boat docks. Walk the Bicentennial Walkway that features plaques showcasing historical significant information about the Rising Sun/Ohio County area.
A Veteran’s Tower and Memorial are also part of the park, honoring the sacrifice and selfless service of the brave men and women from Rising Sun/Ohio County who served our county.
Many activities and events are held in the park throughout the year including Fourth of July activities and the Navy Bean Festival.
