Our custom winery is located in a 100 year old home, where you can select from an extensive collection of red, white, and specialty wines. Each individual batch of wine is hand crafted using the finest juices, which have been sourced from highly sought after wine regions from around the world. We’ll begin your batch of premium wine in our fermenting room. In 6-8 weeks, it will be ready to bottle, cork, seal, and label. Each and every batch will be carefully monitored from the initial fermentation to the final bottling. Since we start with very high quality juices, they ferment into excellent, smooth, low sulfite wines that are comparable to commercial wines of more than double the cost. One Hundred Fifty years ago, almost two million men went to war, a civil war, right here on American soil, sometimes literally brother against brother.  About 1/3 of them never came back home.  Step back in time and meet the men who fought in this great American conflict.  Camps of both the Union and the Confederate armies will be set up with re-enactors to answer your questions and give you a glimpse into their every day world.  Cannon demonstrations, a battle each day, children’s activities, food, and more.

Ohio and Switzerland Counties open their studios, galleries and shops for a virtual event celebrating the arts in rural Indiana. Over 50 different artists will show their work in multiple locations to be reviewed, discussed and purchased.

The quaint river towns of Rising Sun, Vevay  and Aurora, as well as every crossroads and ridge in between, are opening their studio doors just for you. This Free tour offers some new and eclectic art works that touch all mediums. Sculpture, paint, glass, fiber, steel, wood, photography, American crafts and instrument design combine for a fabulous palette of talent that reside in these two Southeastern Indiana counties.

Meet the artists, tour their studios, and experience what art means to them and how it has affected their lives. Ohio and Switzerland Counties have many gifted and unique artists. Now you can visit them virtually any day of the week as well as in person during the CSRP Artist Tour April 14th and 15th, 2012. The “Shiner Pride Show Your Pride” Car, Truck, and Bike Show will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2012.  The show has been averaging 350 entrants each year.   The cars are displayed on the beautiful riverfront and throughout the downtown area.  The show is sponsored by the City of Rising Sun and is managed by the high school band and their parents.  All of the money raised from the car show helps pay for the cost of marching band and for the band to take its trip to New York City every four years.

“QuiltFest” has grown from an initial showing of 35 quilts from the community and the Historical Society collection hung in the museum in 2002.   In 2008 and 2009 the show moved to the Rising Sun Senior Citizen and Community Building with vendors, classes and 98 quilts, art quilts and art items entered in competition for cash prizes.
