Civil War Encampment Reenactment
May 4th, 5th, & 6th, 2012
One Hundred Fifty years ago, almost two million men went to war, a civil war, right here on American soil, sometimes literally brother against brother. About 1/3 of them never came back home. Step back in time and meet the men who fought in this great American conflict. Camps of both the Union and the Confederate armies will be set up with re-enactors to answer your questions and give you a glimpse into their every day world. Cannon demonstrations, a battle each day, children’s activities, food, and more.
