I began my career as a commercial artist, studying graphic design and illustration. In 1979, I moved from Cincinnati, Ohio to Northern California and a new world of opportunity and experience opened to me. I spent 12 years working in signage, murals and large scale trade show design before opening my own business as a faux finisher.

At Harps on Main you are welcome both to see harps being made, on a self-guided tour, and to hear the final result. William Rees has been building harps for thirty years and his move to Rising Sun has put Ohio County on the map with harp beginners and professionals alike.

Rising Sun Pendleton Art Center located in the heart of historic downtown Rising Sun. Pendleton features the main gallery, housing a variety of ever changing exhibits.The Pendleton Art Center has a complex of artist studios working in a wide variety of mediums and styles. The “First Weekend” of each month is in celebration for new exhibits and is hosted by open studios and continues through the weekend.

Owner, Vera Curnow, is a national award-winning artist, the author of eight art books, and the Founder of the Colored Pencil Society of America.
