A non- profit, tax-deductible organization incorporated in the State of Indiana in 1979, is dedicated to the preservation and continued existence of North American wildlife. Our focus is the education of future generations, teaching them the vital part each species plays in the maintenance of a healthy eco-system. Our goal is to expose our visitors to the wonders of nature and of the wildlife that lives in their very own country. Ohio County Historical Museum

It may come as a surprise that although small in size Ohio County is rich in history. Much of the wonderful history can be found in the museum, which is listed on the register of historic places. Originally the complex of buildings housed the Clore Plow Works beginning in 1850 and ending in 1910. Plows and other farming implements manufactured by the factory are on exhibit.

Rising Sun Pendleton Art Center located in the heart of historic downtown Rising Sun. Pendleton features the main gallery, housing a variety of ever changing exhibits.The Pendleton Art Center has a complex of artist studios working in a wide variety of mediums and styles. The “First Weekend” of each month is in celebration for new exhibits and is hosted by open studios and continues through the weekend.
